Airport Services Manager – Senegal
Job Purpose:
Emirates is seeking an Airport Services Manager to oversee efficient, cost-effective, and safe airport operations. The role ensures Emirates’ reputation, customer service, and operational standards are upheld and enhanced. The manager will be responsible for maintaining smooth airport operations, ensuring on-time performance, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Implement and review strategies to ensure airport staff meet company standards and procedures.
- Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of aircraft, customers, cargo, and staff by conducting regular audits and implementing safety measures.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the airport team, ensuring discipline, motivation, and compliance with customer service standards.
- Customer Service: Manage adverse situations (flight disruptions, denied boarding, etc.) to restore customer confidence.
- Collaboration: Liaise with service providers, government agencies, and internal departments for seamless operations.
- Reporting & Administration: Handle monthly reports, performance appraisals, and other administrative duties accurately and on time.
- Audits: Conduct regular audits on ground handling agencies to ensure compliance with Emirates’ quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Minimum of A-Level education; a degree is preferred. Advanced qualifications in Customer Services, Ground Operations, Reservations, and Weight and Balance.
- Experience: At least 8 years of airport operations experience, with a minimum of 5 years at a managerial level.
- Skills: Familiarity with flight planning, meteorology, and various computerized systems (Reservations, Baggage Tracing, etc.). Fluent in English and the local language.
- Other: Must possess the right to live and work in Senegal.
